Excellent wide temperature range with excellent long-term exposure to dry heat. Silicone has a high resistance to dry heat, ultraviolet light and ozone. Good weather and ozone resistance. Poor tear and abrasion Static use only. Silicone resists brake fluids and high aniline point oil. It is not recommended for ketones or most petroleum oils. Commonly used in electrical connector inserts; hot air duct seals; dust shields and boots; spark plug boots; medical product seals; and electric appliance seals. The key use of this material is in static seals employed in a wide (-75? F to +450? F) range of temperatures.
