Split PTFE Back-up Rings

PTFE (Teflon®) Back-Up Rings are designed to prevent O-Ring extrusion in high-pressure sealing applications where elastomeric back-ups are not sufficient. Manufactured from rigid, low-friction PTFE, these back-up rings provide excellent resistance to chemicals, heat, and aggressive media while maintaining dimensional stability under load. Available in solid (uncut) and single-turn (scarf cut) designs, they install easily and perform reliably in both static and dynamic systems. PTFE is ideal for customers running higher pressures, tighter clearances, or applications where chemical compatibility is critical, helping extend seal life and reduce unexpected failures.
