Teflon Caoted O-Rings
Benefits :
• Extremely low insertion force for easier installation
• Greatly improves adhesion compared to traditional PTFE
• Eliminates coating from bonding/sticking to high temperature plastic
• Can be used in some dynamic applications where traditional PTFE would not be recommended
• PTFE Coated Colored O-Rings with contrasting colors to eliminate in-plant errors.

Because O-ring materials are usually the same color, one seal may appear nearly identical to another, yet vary slightly in dimension or consist of different compounds. In cases where a large number of O-rings may be used in one assembly, such as in automotive component manufacturing, installing a seal in the incorrect location can cause leakage or even failure of the seal. An effective and easy means of segregation within a production facility is therefore critical to ensure that no mix-ups occur.

One of the best ways to differentiate O-rings is to use color-coding. Because lighter colors can be more easily detected within a black or dark assembly, they can also aid end-of-line quality checking. Colored O-ring seals that can be used for easy identification in an automotive or automated assembly plant. Like clear coatings, the colored coatings are said to improve the friction characteristics of elastomer O-rings.
