V-Rings
V-Ring seal, VA design the Global Standard
V-ring seals (V-rings) are all-rubber, axial shaft seals. They offer an easy-to-install solution for rotating shaft applications, including use as a secondary seal in highly contaminated environments. The VA design includes a standard cross section with a straight back side face. Being the most common type of V-rings, VA seals are typically used to protect bearing arrangements in gearboxes, electric motors and drives.
- Easy to install
- Cost-effective
- Reliable contamination exclusion
A V-Ring seal is a one-piece all rubber rotary shaft seal, which stretches to fit on a shaft. It is held in place by its own tension on the shaft and the seal axially mounts against a stationary counter-face. It rotates with the shaft acting as a slinger, while the lip of the V-Ring provides a light, positive seal against a stationary face. It is a contaminant seal against dirt, dust, water, or oil splash as well as grease retainers. It can be used as a primary or secondary seal for an oil, mechanical or labyrinth seal.
