X-Ring Seals Four-Lobed Sealing (aka Quad-Ring®)

X-Ring Seals, also called four-lobed seals or Quad-Ring® style seals, are built for reliable sealing in dynamic, static, hydraulic, pneumatic, and rotary applications. Their four-lobed shape creates an optimized sealing effect with good pressure distribution over a nearly square cross-section, while lower contact forces help reduce friction and wear. The space between the sealing lips can hold lubricant, improving movement and service life. X-Rings also offer high stability in dynamic applications, require lower radial preload than many standard O-Rings, and help reduce twisting, spiral failure, and seal drag. Because the mold separation line does not interfere with the main sealing lips, customers get smoother operation, longer seal life, and fewer equipment failures.
