Spliced & Vulcanized O-Rings: Custom Solutions for Unique Applications

Our spliced and vulcanized O-Rings are ideal when standard O-Rings don't meet your needs or when you need a faster solution than what molded O-Rings can provide. At The O-Ring Store LLC, we expertly craft O-Rings from extruded O-Ring cord, vulcanizing them to achieve the size (ID) you require. We offer seamless spliced Standard Inch and Metric O-Rings in all standard materials, across various cross sections, as well as convenient Splicing Kits. Each O-Ring <48" undergoes rigorous inspection with the Olypsys® Large Format Grid measuring system to guarantee maximum accuracy.

Current Lead Times: Dependent on cord stock availability.

• Up to 24 O-Rings: Typically ~5 days. 
• 25-100 O-Rings: Typically ~10-15 days.

Vulcanized Viton® O-Rings (Fluorocarbon, FKM):

Chemical Resistant Fluorocarbon FKM O-Rings have an excellent resistance to high temperatures, ozone, oxygen, mineral oil, synthetic hydraulic fluids, fuels, aromatics and many organic solvents and chemicals. Vulcanized  FKM has a temperature range of 0F to +400F, and provides excellent resistance to a wide variety of chemicals, weather and compression set requirements. The relatively high level of fluorine in Fluorocarbon FKM materials allows for exceptional resistance to chemical attack, but with limited low temperature capabilities.

Chemical Resistance:

• Mineral oil and grease, low swelling in ASTM oil No. 1, and IRM 902 and IRM 903 oils
• Non-flammable hydraulic fuels in the group HFD
• Silicone oil and grease
• Mineral and vegetable oil and grease
• Aliphatic hydrocarbons (fuel, butane, propane, natural gas)
• Aromatic hydrocarbons (benzene, toluene)
• Chlorinated hydrocarbons (trichlorethylene and carbon tetrachloride)
• Chlorine, Wet
• Fuels, also fuels with methanol content
• Diesel Fuel
• Gasoline
• High vacuum
• Very good ozone, weather and aging resistance.

Not Compatible With:

• Glycol based brake fluids
• Ammonia gas, amines, alkalis
• Superheated steam
• Acetone
• Brake Fluid
• Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK)
• Low molecular organic acids (formic and acetic acids)

Operating temperature: 0° to +400°F (-17° to 204° C)
